Obliti Devoravit - Chains & Blood (cassette)
The image of chains and blood immediately brings to mind struggle and pain. A sort of backbreaking anxiety that has marked Obliti Devoravit since the beginning. Present in these recordings is a new sense of royal power. The nocturnal howl of O.D. doesn’t sound often. When it does, it’s fair warning to all in earshot to stand at alert for for a broad-shouldered, lumbering, bloodthirsty dip into an ethereal wasteland where you are being hunted. Principally a bassist, sole member TL brings a low-end menace and growl to Obliti Devoravit where few black metal bands dare to tread because simply: they cannot. Across three connected tracks, O.D. paces like rapacious wolf, never breaking into a full speed chase because this beast doesn’t need to run down fear-paralyzed prey. Make no mistake, you are the prey. You will be consumed by the yellowed teeth of an agonizing repulsion.
On blue cassette, with digital download.
